The Wedding of Martha and Javier

The wedding of Martha and Javier have the qualities of a true classic (just check out how seriously cool-sounding their names are) and the elements of lives lived happily ever after. Everything about it is unpretentious, wholehearted, and absolutely elegant. It required nothing else from us photographers but to simply capture the moments in the most astute way we can. The results are images that are both enduring and discerning.

I remember how nice both Martha and Javi were and how we talked about just shooting the celebration as it happened with minimal directions and even less pictorials. I loved the idea because it allows us to highlight our mastery of anticipating moments and still creating artistic photographs even without any control of the events as they happen.

I’m really grateful to Martha and Javi for the opportunity they gave us to shoot their wedding, and also their family and friends who were all a big part in making this wedding such a masterpiece. Enjoy.
