The Wedding of Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano | Official Photos of the Reception
After eight years, the fateful day has arrived. Last June 12, the couple’s anniversary and the day of freedom in the Philippines, Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano surrendered theirs theirs to each other, exchanged vows, and looked forward to forever. Inside a small church in Taytay, where Toni – Celestine to her family – grew up, a very intimate gathering of family and friends witnessed the fairytale-like love story unfold once more, while outside thousands gather to get a glimpse of their hometown heroine when she marries her knight in shining armour. It was an ideal contrast of exclusivity and openness, and it was amazing that Toni and Paul were able to celebrate their wedding both ways.
The setting was stunning: between the colors of white, grey, and silver, the couple’s dream wedding is definitely one for the books – or for the cameras in this case. There are the usual TV and wedding coverages and the flock of personal handheld devices but Paul, being the director himself, had his team of Super 8 guys cover the wedding in the vintage 8mm format.
The sun shone in all its glory, the flowers bloomed in delight (both real and the paper ones used in Toni’s grand entrance), the hues blended impeccably, and the guests expressed every possible emotion of delight, excitement and love. Showcasing simplicity and sophistication, the much awaited day proved to be, just as what the hashtag of that day was, #PerfectTogether.
