Shangri-la Mactan Weddings | Min and Yuya

This Cebu wedding of Min and Yuya was memorable for many many reasons, but I fondly remember it because of how sweet of a couple these two are – sweet to each other and very much sweet to us as their wedding photographers.

Being based in Osaka (Min is Filipina and Yuya is Japanese), I remember how we excitedly started talking about their celebration – how they found out about us, and how they got to book us, and all the kinds of photo they wanted for their wedding and their pre-wedding shoot. We had dinners and a lot of fun online conversations that by the time of their wedding, we felt like we knew everyone already – family and friends! I even got to learn several Japanese words and phrases I got to use as a photographer like, cheezu (smile), chu (kiss), and hanashite (talk to each other).

I’m sure all of these will be evident and will be retold as we see the photos in this feature, but there are many many more memories with these two and their wedding journey that will always make us appreciate them, miss them, and look forward to the next time we all get to ‘hanashite’.
