Okada Philippines Weddings | Ella and Wilz
We’re re-introducing the Metrophoto website with this blog feature about Ella and Wilz’s wedding. While I have immensely enjoyed creating short features of all our shoots for social media, I must admit that I’ve missed writing something more substantial and telling love stories that we shoot with more photos and in better prose. With all the care, resources, and intention poured into every wedding (and I’m talking about every single individual involved), nothing is more satisfying than seeing the completed and comprehensive set of memories of the celebration put together beautifully.
Ella is no ordinary bride; yes, they are all unique, but what I remember most about Ella was that she booked us quite early and was our first wedding on a date that will turn out to be the most booked day for 2025. Ella is also a designer; of course, she did all the dresses of her entourage and, most importantly, her gorgeous wedding gowns. As someone who works in weddings, the idea of doing something for your wedding, especially your wedding gown, must be one of the most profound things one will encounter in her lifetime. I knew that this was a story in itself, so we made sure we had all the photos to show for it.
Also, one of the sweetest couples I’ve encountered, Ella and Wilz, often say “ikaw na bahala,” showing the utter trust and confidence they have in us. I remember her texting me a day before the wedding saying “Ikaw na bahala for me and Wilz, whoooooo!! Excited!!!! My dream photographer!!!!” and “Metrophoto forever and ever!!!”. If these don’t inspire me, I don’t know what else would. I love these two to bits.
The wedding came and went, but everything transpired as expected for me, and maybe even more. I enjoyed every minute I spent with Ella and Wilz—every conversation and every shutter press. Check out the whole set of photos because it’s time you get to enjoy them, too.
