Jogjakarta Pre-Wedding Photos | Austine and Cinelli
A shoot in Borubudor Temple was supposed to be one of the highlights of the year for us. It’s a UNESCO world heritage site and the biggest Buddhist monument in the world – if you have traveled to places like Japan and Thailand where Buddhist structures tower everywhere, the claim of being the biggest one, surely is something.
We planned the entire shoot around Jogjakarta and one by one we discovered how difficult it was to shoot in most of the places iconic to this part of the Java Island. Not only were we swarmed by security while shooting in Borubudor but they confiscated and deleted the photos that we took. We were able to recover some of them though but we are not sure if they are worth the trouble and the trauma.
What I’m sure what worth it was the experience of going to a place not frequented by many or not as popular in most magazines or websites and spend all of those times with people as fun and as annoyingly cute as Austine and Cinelli and their siblings (Special thanks to Audwin for styling his own sister’s pre-wedding shoot and to Aubrey for organising the entire trip!).
So that’s my ‘excuse’ for you to not expect too much. But still expect enough, afterall this is still Jogjakarta and this is still Metrophoto and one of the highlights of our 2016.
