The Wedding of Deniece and Mike
Our job as wedding photographers come with the best of everything. There is just so much good and positivity to a lot of the aspects of what we do that really make it ideal. We do the thing that we love, we get paid a decent amount to do it, we get to travel quite extensively, we do something that has significance even for a few families at a time, and most importantly, we meet different people and build relationships with them. My life has been so enriched because I get connect with the most wonderful of people at one of the most exciting parts of their lives.
But there is a tragedy to it – after all, nothing is perfect. No matter what we do, time passes and it passes very quick in this field. One day we meet your clients and get all worked-up for their big day and just before we know it, the day is over. We build so much anticipation yet most of the time we have such a blast that it just blow past us even when the wedding day itself has been fulfilling and fantastic. We wish that there is always more time to spend with our clients.
This is most true with Deniece and Mike. We didn’t get to meet personally until about a couple of weeks before their wedding. We hit it off right away, I loved them to bits and I couldn’t have been more excited for their wedding. The wedding came about and it was glorious. And then that was sort of it, things came and gone so quickly and while it is something that’s still very enviable for most, sometimes I wish that weddings should be a one-week event just so that we get to spend more time with them.
All of these I say even after we’ve consciously cut-down the number of weddings we shoot per year because of the very same reasons. It’s uncontrollable but I think the best part of all these are the memories we create with those encounters, memories that are not only in our selves but in the photographs that we took. They bring everything back even if our wedding encounters don’t last as long as we would have liked. It may have many months already since the wedding of Deniece and Mike but these photos bring all the great moments back like that were well, earlier today. Enjoy the photos.
