The Wedding of Veca and Paolo
One of my most embarrassing moment of last year (likely my adult life), as I’ve shared in facebook a few months back, involved the very couple we are featuring today. It was a typical weekday afternoon meeting with a new client. Excited, as I always am with meeting my couples, I was asking questions to get to know them more. Since Veca was the one who was coordinating the booking, I asked her first about what she does and how she found out about Metrophoto and other connections we have. Veca was pretty and seemingly feisty while Paolo had a nice smile on his face but a bit quiet. He was wearing a polo barong and trousers. Given my background of working for a bank, the attire struck some nostalgia and I assumed we had the same background. But I still asked, “So Paolo, may I know what do you do or where you work?”. Paolo was too hesitant to answer, I’m sure because he didn’t want to embarrass me, so he just said Batasan Pambansa (The Philippine Congress). It wasn’t the answer I thought I’d get, so as I was processing the info, Veca cut and said, ah he is a congressman. Yes, WOW.
Again, in my defense, Paolo looked so young to be a congressman. But really as embarrassed as I was, I’m immensely impressed as well. Paolo is nice, unassuming, pleasant, but very respectable. This is how he was in their wedding and I have such high regard for people like that. Not to mention his choice of such a classy bride. This is the reason their wedding was simple and elegant yet very sophisticated. You can see these from the details, and emotions, and the people. So again, my apologies for that incident and congratulations to Veca and Congressman Paolo Javier not only for a wonderful wedding celebration but for their up-coming bundle of joy.
Enjoy the photos.
