The Prewedding Shoot of Marge and Patrick

The concern about not knowing how to pose or to behave in front of the camera is a very common comment everytime I meet my couples for the first time. The just wanted to make sure that it is me, and not them, who will bridge that gap and make everything beautiful. Of course I am responsible for that, we have mastered the techniques to execute to our lofty goals no matter the experience or comfort level of our couples. My usual answer actually is that I totally understand why there is a concern, they are not models to actually have experience in such an undertaking but that there is no need for them to worry because almost all of those they see in our portfolio are regular couples (regular in a sense that they are not models).

Today’s feature is one of the very few instances where that is untrue. Margarita is a professional model, she has been there and done that and her pre-wedding shoot was more of a cakewalk than a catwalk. Didn’t matter if her fiancé, Patrick, doesn’t have a similar experience because sometimes, good looks is all it takes and he has a lot of those. He actually reminds me of my idol Roger Federer – a younger version, so that made it more amusing. The shoot had the making of something you only see in glossy magazines and we tried to live up to that.

We’ve always wanted to do a gritty sports-themed shoot and Marge and Patrick loved the idea and were perfect for it. Unusually, we had to start the shoot in the evening for the locations to work and because of some misunderstanding with the boxing gym, we had to ‘break-in’ and crawl through the windows just to get in. Finishing at 3:30am was no joke, including keeping everything running and looking decent till that time. So In the end it took more than just good looks and modelling skills to get us through this shoot, so I thank Marge and Patrick as well for the kindness, patience, and determination. Enjoy the photos.
