London and Oxford Prewedding Photos | Katz and Eddie
In the almost 8 years (gasp) that Metrophoto has existed, we’ve had a slew of tag lines. The very first one was “contemporary. unordinary” then we changed it to a more catchy “wedding photography has never been this kick-ass”, then to the simpler “unlike any other” up to the cultured-sounding “scene-stealing wedding photographs. They all meant the same thing, but It’s not until last year when several succeeding events made me realise that while it is the resulting photos that everyone see’s it is really the exceedingly high expectations that both me and my clients share that drive such creations. What we do, is really something of a much higher standard – something that is for people who are harder to please.
Now talking about having impeccable taste, i’m excited to feature today, the pre-wedding shoot of Katz and Eddie. Surely this shoot is of a substantial significance as it marks that very first time that we flew as far as Europe for a pre-wedding shoot. While there had been numerous shoots in Europe before, they were either for weddings coverages or for clients that are based there already. This marks the first time that everyone has gone beyond the typical boundaries of Asia for such a shoot. We didn’t have to find a time where I’m already there or the other things that complicates such an endeavour.
There are so many things people can make out of this, but I can emphasis two important things: Katz and Eddie, not only knew what they wanted, they also knew that rarity of such an opportunity. They did this for their wedding and for their selves. If it would contribute profoundly to their entire wedding experience, why not right? Second, this shoot has opened doors to the rest of the market that shoots shouldn’t be bound to certain places or to certain themes. In the past few years, we’ve extended far beyond what all the previous years of weddings before us reached. Other cultures even travel farther than us for such shoots, but with the Filipino talent, who knows what we can produce.
So as you enjoy this intensely beautiful set of photos of Katz and Eddie both from London and Oxfordshire, let me just say how great my admiration is for this couple. Very accomplished yet, extremely pleasant and humble. I’m doubly blessed to not only have the opportunity to shoot them in such a wonderful place but also in having the chance to spend time getting to know them a lot during that time. Special thanks to my brother in London, Jet Nepomuceno for always making sure I feel home whenever I’m there.
