Cebu Prewedding Photographer | Jaja and David
It’s common that I get a feedback about how the style of shooting that we do in Metrophoto intimidates potential clients, how it’s not for them or how they can’t do them. Truth of the matter is, almost all of our couples are able to do it (to different extents) because they made a decision that they will trust us and in return we will make sure that it is achieved, through a way that we have internally developed, in a tasteful manner. The way we do it is fool-proof and there is a level of difficulty that we can always adjust depending on how intense a certain concept and couple can be.
In our every shoot, we invest the time to prepare our shoot plan. We always aim for striking images and modify accordingly based on different factors like risk, location, outfit, willingness and most importantly how the subjects can carry them out. Almost all the time, since we know our couples personally, the plan will require very minor adjustments. Yet there will be times that people will just surprise you. Case in point is today’s feature of the pre-wedding photos of Jaja and David.
I’ve already met Jaja and David in Manila a few weeks earlier and have followed them in Facebook. I knew that Jaja will be a thrill to photograph and have already set a shoot plan for her. We have determined the pegs and the location and the shoot will be just a couple of days before the wedding. What really struck me during the shoot was how gracefully Jaja was executing the concepts no matter the emotion we wanted her to convey and despite the increasing complexity of the shots. I had to mentally rip my shoot plan and advance it to compositions and poses that will give justice just to how gorgeous Jaja is.
We didn’t have the magnificent locations or the opulent attires but it was one of my most favourite shoots ever.
There is always the easy way out and there is one that will set you apart. A true Metrophoto bride will never take the former like everyone else will – because she is different and because she is better than that – so much better than that. Enjoy the photos. Shot at the Groom’s ancestral house in Cebu, personally styled by the couple, and make-up courtesy of Emi Ayag.
