Santuario de San Antonio and Blue Leaf Weddings | Kate and Mikko
Six years in this business and I can say that I know quite a lot of the people in it already. But the people I completely trust and consider friends are a mere handful. It’s true what they say that in any industry, there is politics. Along the way I’ve learned, a few in a hard way, who are those to stay away from and those to stick to because they will actually make not just your craft meaningful but your life as well.
This brings me today’s special post of the wedding of Kate and Mikko. Mikko is the brother of Ernest Pascual, one of those few friends I mentioned about and one of the even fewer people responsible for Metorphoto’s humble rise to success. When I started back in 2007, Ernest was one of those who recognized the potential and gave me an opportunity. That was to shoot the wedding of his cousin, Ada. I guess I was able to impress because between that and countless other weddings and projects together and in knowing every member of their big family, I’m happy to find myself shooting Mikko’s wedding this time.
I immensely enjoy every wedding I cover but really it’s even a different kind of joy when you are there shooting with people you just appreciate being with. This goes out too to Kate and Mikko who I have been friends with since a few years back. It’s also not bad that these people are all about being excellent in what they do that they make what is already a heartwarming celebration, even a more beautiful one. Enjoy the photos.
