M by Metrophoto: a first of its kind and ahead of its time
The long wait is over. M by Metrophoto, our top-secret project for last six months, is here. A first-of-its-kind interactive digital magazine that is definitely ahead of its time.
Cover of the third issue of M by Metrophoto featuring only the wedding of Jewel and Chason.
This e-magazine will change the landscape on how weddings are featured. Every issue is dedicated to one wedding where all of the relevant information about the couple and their event is tastefully put together. Indulge your senses in the magazine’s interactive pages (only seen now in top intentional magazines) that contain videos, articles, and photographs that are meant to enhance your browsing experience. Inside every edition are details, stories, and even back-stories about how a wedding was dreamed and then realized. Scroll the pages horizontally to go to the next article or scroll them vertically to go deeper into an article. Every touch is a new fascination and every turn a new experience.
The magazine includes insights from the bride and interactive buttons.
The magazine also makes it possible to seamlessly put contents together that enhance the viewing experience. Here, a sketch of the gown made by the bride-designer herself is inserted as part of the article and has the short description on her inspiration for making it.
It is about time that we move forward from the confines of a blogsite into what we believe embraces this digital age. We are no longer limited to photos nor are we limited to a vertical format. Now, we have a truly dynamic platform that we can use to put in different stories, videos and even photos that are not from the wedding itself to help complete the story of each couple. There is nothing out there that goes into this much depth in recognizing the appreciating the wedding narrative of one specific couple.
Short and relevant write-ups can be found inside every issue. There are also personal photographs that help tell the story of the couple.
Aside from including the onsite-video of the wedding from their videographer, most of the issues will also have a behind-the-scenes video of the wedding. Suppliers are also featured with direct links to their own websites when their names or company names are tapped.
All the issues can be downloaded for free through the M by Metrophoto app that can be downloaded from the App Store or the Google Play Store. The best experience to be able to operate it in a tablet where the size is just right and all the interactive features are designed for. But still for those who can’t, there are versions of the app in most devices, and there also a website version of the issues so anyone can view it in any device using a browser. There are share buttons all over that give the power to anyone to share the magazine easily.
There are share buttons throughout the magazine that readers can tap to share the link to the web version of each issue. But it is still best to experience the magazine with a tablet.
The possibilities of this breakthrough are limitless and we are only eager to explore more for the future issues. Check out more details at http://m.mymetrophoto.com and the video below.
