Manila Prewedding Photos | Diane and Alwyn
Choosing two locations for an e-session shoot is not uncommon. Chosing two locations that are 3.5 hours (Philippine standard travel time) away from each other, now that is uncommon.
Our idea is to have two contrasting environments and feel. One will be outdoor, bright, industrial, and old. The other, indoors, low-key and contemporary. Truthtully, Diane and Alwyn just couldn’t agree which one they will do. So I stepped in and tried to save the day by telling them that we can do both. Because really, we can. It’s not going to be easy, but it’s doable.
We went to Tarlac first, I love this idea because Diane is from Tarlac and she got a permit to shoot in an azucarera (sugar mill). Sweet right? I know. The place is absolutely rugged – which is awesome in photography terms. We spent a few hours there, more than we wanted, but the rain and the difficulty of a few people to climb up the tower caused a bit of a snag. It actually turned out favorable that we were still there by nightfall because we were able to have some dramatic shots of the factory.
We drove back to Manila to shoot in this uber modern and sleek house. I remember this house when I saw a shoot of Marian Rivera for FHM early this year. That shoot was by no less than Mark Nicdao, (the only photography whose work I always look forward to see) so I was really excited. This concept is very much Alwyn; manicured, in style, and very manly. I thought we had a pretty good shoot there as well, and the fact that we weren’t rushing to go to another place made us do what we had to accomplish.
So there you go, nothing is too difficult nor impossible, as long as it’s beautiful, it make sense, and will not result in my any of my couples being unhappy or having a fight over a location. lol! Please do enjoy these beautiful photos of Diane and Alwyn :) Thanks to Mica Tuano and her mom for Diane’s hair and make-up :)
