Contemporary Railway Engagement Sessions | Millan and Richelle
If there is an e-session concept that I think has been overused and abused in last couple of years, I would guess that it is the concept of travel and the concept of a couple having their luggages. Aren’t people ever get tired of this? I’m sure a lot are already puking over the idea but I’m not. Give Metrophoto an overused idea and we’ll gladly embrace the challenge to create something that will stand out among the hundreds that has been done before.
So yes, today we’re featuring our own version of the “Travel and Luggage” theme with Millan and Richelle. This shoot all the more proves that a great concept even with superb styling is simply not enough – in fact it is the impeccable execution that’s vital to an awesome shoot, even with the simplest concept and the subtlest of styling.
I would like thank my awesome couple Millan and Richelle for being the Metrophoto bride and groom that they are and not only worked with us with the concept but braved the dusts and rusts of the shoot.

Being a passionate photo hobbyist, I have learned and followed certain people that can capture the essence of time, command a certain feeling and tell a story through their work. I am always put in a trance every time I see Annie Leibovitz execute an epic concept on a photoshoot. Carter Smith has his own ways controlling and taming light. Olaf Mueller and Julius Bramanto will put you on a burning sensation through their sizzling high-fashion styled poses. Steve McCurry and Fan Ho’s eye on composition never fails to frame a powerful and dynamic scene be it either in color or black and white. Only Elliot Erwitt and Henri Cartier-Bresson can catch the elusive decisive moment in a perfect frame. You will be amazed when you watch a Darius Khondji or Wong Kar Wai’s cinematographic masterpiece as they put you inside the scene and became part of the story.
Knowing all of those things at the back of my head, you would think that choosing our wedding photographer would be beyond imagination with such criteria and standards. But Metrophoto proved me wrong. Oly delivers exceptional work that reminds me of all those photographers I admire so our choice was inevitable.
We are more than happy to have worked with Oly and his team. Being “Metrofied” was one of the highlights of our wedding experience.
