Manila Peninsula Weddings | Winston and Melanie
One of the reasons I just love what I do are priceless encounters I experience with a lot of people, more particularly couples that get me for their weddings. It’s just really a delight to genuinely know them and the stories about them. It’s always about happy and fascinating anecdotes that just keep you positive and grateful for everything about life. Now, before I cry writing this, let’s get to today’s feature wedding and the story of Winston and Melanie’s wedding preparation which I’m happy to share because aside from the couple, I’m the protagonist. hahaha.
A couple of years back, Winston and Melanie started to plan their wedding. They wanted something really small and simple – after all they were already married in civil rights and just wanted to have the church’s blessing. It was suppose to be at the humble St. Paul parish in Quezon City with about less than a hundred people. Then Winston chanced upon a newspaper feature of my photos from LJ Moreno’s wedding and after much thought he closed his eyes reached inside his pockets and decided he must have Metrophoto to cover his wedding. hahaha.
Thinking that having me wouldn’t be worth it if they will have a wedding in a simple venue, the big decision was made to move their wedding to Manila Peninsula instead. This way, he said I’ll be able to use my talents more given a grander venue. Of course I begged to disagree, it would still have been awesome it we sticked to the original venue, yet I learned all of this after the fact already so no point raising the issue. hehehe.
He also thought that the Manila Peninsula venue wouldn’t be worth it if he’s not going to have the impeccable details and planning to go with their wedding. So enter Ernest Pascual – and to further take it to another level, they got Veluz Reyes to design Melanie’s gown and Madge Lejano to doll her up. It seemed like an endless upgrade – including getting Bim to do the videos, but after about multiplying their budget maybe seven times, they were finally set and intensely happy. :) And as my current favorite quote says “Nobody who gave their best effort regretted it” which makes more sense to something that happens only once in a lifetime like your wedding day. :) And for me to be a part of it is something I’m deeply grateful about.
Enjoy the photos and check out the awesome WM logo that Ernest created and then embellished in a lot of the details including Melanie’s fabulous gown :)

Awesome photos!
If you don’t mind my asking, was the wedding held in Archbishop’s Place?
