If you read my post from yesterday, you now know how I love it when my couples make an effort to help make their photos extra special by choosing concepts or locations during their wedding that are beyond the usual - and yes, when I say usual that will be inside or in front of the church and then at their hotel. How many countless time have you seen those that you already seem to instantly guess where the photos are taken when you see it right?While im not against those, and I actually shoot those as well, I just think that my wedding couples deserve something better something more unique. =) 

For this post, I'm sharing with you Ronan and Pam's wedding. These two have been close to me personally despite us not shooting an e-session - we're just really super comfortable when we're together and I remember how much fun and light it was during Pam's make-up session during her wedding. :) 

If you can't figure out where we had our portrait shoot after the ceremony, maybe because only a select few actually get access to the Manila Peninsula presidential suite. So yeah, that's something awesome and I love them for that =) hahaha!

I know I'm behind posting weddings here in my blog when it's already September and I'm just posting one of my June weddings. So yes, this wedding was from a couple of months back but it's definitely one of my favorites. =) 

If Chok and Joe seem familiar to you, it's because they had a kick-ass engagement session inside NAIA Terminal 3 which I also featured a few months back. =) There we played with paper airplanes inside the airport and had one of the most unique shoots I've ever done. 

To make everything consistent, Chok and Joe reserved a special location for our portrait session on their wedding day. It was this huge hangar right inside the airport complex where we can even see NAIA T3 from far away. =) Now how can you not love couples who take the extra effort in making sure that they inject their own unique style to their wedding and their photosessions right? yes, you'll love them to bits! =)

Shooting weddings internationally? I call that awesome. Shooting weddings of celebrities? I call that spectacular. Now what about shooting the wedding of Jimmy Alapag and LJ Moreno in Laguna Beach in California? Awesome-tacular? You bet! =) 

PBA all-star point guard Jimmy Alapag and actress LJ Moreno tied the knot at Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach south of Los Angeles. Families and friends (consist of cagers and celebrities) took part in the intimate but breathtaking ceremony that happened on top of the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. 

A lot of beautiful people graced the event which already had such gorgeous couple and location and it's just appropriate for me to churn out equally beautiful photographs. =) Enjoy LJ Moreno's Wedding.

LJ had stylish purple shoes with "I" and "do" emblems glued at the soles. =) Nothing beats the best weather in the best hotel and beach in the area.

LJ's six-year old brother wrote the note below. It's funny he seemed to know such things already. hahaha.

TFC correspondents were there to cover the wedding for The Buzz as requested by Boy Abunda. I saw myself in some of the clips in the show. Now I'm wishing I've nosed around more. hahaha.

Peachie is my new found friend. I know she's Ruffa Mae for most people but like what I've said, we're friends. So I call her Peachie. hahaha =)

My groom was strikingly handsome, he brought his A-game for the wedding of course - it's like a Game 7 Finals day for him. =)

If we weren't pressed for time, I wouldn't have stopped shooting LJ. She's beautiful in every angle.

LJ prepared for her vows. She told me Jimmy was really good with words and she wanted to make sure her vows will be as nice. Since at the photo below, Jimmy cried, I guess LJ nailed it! =)

Today, our adorable little Lana Oasis turns three. She fills our everyday with sweet kisses (and hugs like on the photo above), witty and cute questions, some sunshine and a lot of whining - irresistible ones. hahaha =) She also calls everyone Bolok when she tries to be funny or when she's trying to annoy someone - especially her Kuya Lance. hahaha!

  hahaha! I like this one below. it's one of my fave bride poses that Lana surprisingly knows how to do. That's what she gets by sitting on daddy's lap while daddy is working =) 

Then she starts to get annoyed. hahaha. It's a classic face with a classic phrase "You're bad!, I don't like you!" hahaha.

Let's start off with an exclusive ALL-ACCESS prep shoot at the Trader's Hotel in Manila. It was honestly the first time we shot in the hotel but it didn't disappoint at all. The rooms were of modern glam feel and we had access to any part of the hotel that we wanted to shoot at. You should really check out the cool portraits of Paulo that we shot at the top of the hotel and inside its facilities. 

And then how about a portrait shoot inside a huge carousel? I thought I had to go as far as Sta. Rosa Laguna just to get something this whimsically awesome. =) 

The event was capped with a full production set-up inside One Esplanade. With Paulo and Jhona being in the concert and production field, I felt that we were covering GMA's (or ABS-CBN's) 50th year celebration with all the lights and swooping equipment. =) 

So go ahead, enjoy the photos. I didn't purposely mention the fab Louboutins of Jhona, I thought we have too much awesomeness from one wedding already. =) hahaha.

In one of my tweets last month, I mentioned about an e-session in UP unlike any other. Well, here it is =) Shot inside Guerero Theater in Palma Hall, Paolo and Jhona were able to set-up something you would not imagine outside the campus - even outside the country. hahaha =)

Paolo and Jhona are college sweethearts from the UP theater college and there was nothing more fitting than having their awesome and high-tech e-session there. With both of them now into the business of producing and directing concerts, we thought we'd spice-up their old college theater and voila! =)

I have tons of things I wanted to say about this e-session we had in Taiwan. I could start with how this entire trip was such a gastronomic ecstasy and how I am craving everyday for a chipai! hahaha or I could say how unbelievably diverse and beautiful Taiwan is which seemed to have inexhaustible spots to shoot. It also take me probably several paragraphs to describe how awesome Duke and Irene were in all of the session we did, not to mention those astonishing gowns that Irene wore.  

But let me cut everything short and just say that this is one of my most favorite e-session sets of all time. hahaha. So go on, enjoy the photos =)  

To even take this opportunity even further to the next level, famed wedding make-up artist and stylist Madge Lejano will be part of the team and will provide her own expertise to all the shoots. 

There is now more to look forward to in Singapore this September aside from the Formula 1 race =) hahaha. =) 

There will be 6 slots (3 left) available from September 14-16 at 55,000 each. And it will include a 30-page 10x10 album of the whole experience

I always open my blog posts with my favorite portrait of the couple from the shoot and then I blurb about what I remember the most about the experience. Needless to say, today's post is different. This is I think the first time that I'm opening a post with a photo without my couple. hahaha. Of course this is not to take anything away from my super awesome couple - Curt and Shiela - it's more because it's the first time that my bride's shoes is almost as fab as my bride herself =) 

These incredibly chic Louboutins are just the start of the pretty things about this wedding. This being Curt and Shiela's renewal of vows (from their wedding 10 years back), their beautiful children are now witnesses to the event. What's most fun are the entertainment that Sheila prepared to surprise Curt during the party at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco - Fire dancing and Beat-boxing.

While it's not rare for me to cover beautiful weddings week in and week out, it is a rarity for me to have such a high-profile couple, or should I say a high-flying groom and bride. hahaha =) Mac Cardona soars the Araneta Coliseum as one of the PBA's best baller. Cariz, on the other hand, does her own flying as part of the elite crew of Northwest Airlines. Awesome indeed! Not even Marvel or DC have a high-flying couple.. or there's not one I can think of - Superman and Supergirl aren't even a couple and while Jean Grey can fly, Cyclops is stuck in the ground. hahaha =)     

This was really one of my most anticipated weddings because all throughout college up before I took up my graduate studies in Ateneo I was a huge La Salle fan in the UAAP where Mac Cardona played for. But FYI, I'm not from La Salle - that is what happens when your own university suck in almost every sport except, yes, of all field, cheer dancing. hahaha. Add to that the fact that I knew Cariz would be such a wonderful bride to photograph as even undone her beauty was exquisite (I'm bidding for a second mug - hahaha kidding). 

Mac and Cariz are such nice people, we had so much fun shooting their e-session (which kind of had a "nomad" theme hahaha) and of course, their wedding was a blast.

Anyone who's a basketball fan probably knows who Mark Cardona is. He's the current scoring machine of Talk and Text in the PBA and was DLSU's star player in the mid 2000's. What most of us probably don't know is that Mark is a better-half to the beautiful Cariz Francisco-Cardona. 

The lovely couple tied the knot last Friday in Makati in full wedding celebrations witnessed by their family and closest friends. Im sure that everyone are keen to see the photos from that wedding but let's heightened the anticipation by posting the photos from their e-session first =) hahaha.

There are a lot of reasons this wedding of Christian and Erin is one of my most awaited ones. First off, these two had been very good friends of mine every since we met and they booked me last year, Christian calls me idol when I know that he idolizes Ernest more. hahaha. Second, it will be my first wedding with Madge and Jason since.... last March. Third, I wanted to see what Ernest had been promoting about the details he prepared for this wedding that I had to be reminded that it's something worth promoting. hahaha. And why he had to prepare so much for this wedding that he can't assist me in my Hothouse workshop the weekend before this wedding. Fourth, It's my first time working with Badang although people think we've known each other since our previous lifetimes. Fifth, I had a two-week break before my previous wedding and it's one of those times that I felt I hadn't shoot like forever. hahaha. 

It was a beautiful wedding needless to say, that is what happens when you put together crazy people, crazy awesome and outstanding people together =) enjoy the photos. =)

  How can it be more fun? I rarely get to go to Baguio to cover weddings but of the very few times I've done so, it has always been a wonderful and tranquil experience, something only such a place can provide. Of course I also never leave the city without both an awesome set of photos and a Starbukcs city mug. hahaha. 

The wedding of Marlon and Camille is all of those and more. =) It was a fabulous wedding with the hint of calmness that's inherent in the place. We enjoyed each and every moment of it plus of course the fact that I don't get to sweat as profusely as I normally do because of the nice weather.

Right on the heel of the recent success of Hothouse America comes the third installation of the Hothouse Workshop Series, Hothouse Rizal. And this one was the most intense yet - two entire days with the most awesome thirty-five participants (yes, treinta y cinco) with nothing but pure metrofication! yeah! hahaha. 

Set in the elegant and laid back thunderbird hotel and casino resort in Angono Rizal, the workshop not only featured Metrophoto but the other top brands in the Philippine wedding industry as well. Top-notch designer Veluz Reyes provided the wedding gown for the shoot along with Teddy Manuel (wild flower-inspired bouquet) and Madge Lejano (make-up and styling). It was a feast for the eyes. 

Again, I would like to extend my deepest gratification to all those who made the Hothouse workshops not only possible but such a kick-ass success. The outpouring support from both friends, family, and followers (who are now my new found friends) is hugely humbling =) We got participants who flew in from all parts of the country to be Metrofied - from CDO, Davao, Bohol, and Cebu. =)

With such a big hit, it would be easy to assume that it doesn't get any better than this. But like with anything Metrophoto, it always gets better (and more fab!). Hahaha! We're in the middle of redesigning the next edition of Hothouse. It will be something that's unprecedented and unheard of in photography workshops. It will be like Hothouse on steroids! hahaha =) While it won't be happening until at least after several months, please do frequent the site (especially those metrofyees who failed to make the list) for teasers and official announcements.
